Early warm weather a factor in choppy Stockton air quality

Unseasonably warm temperatures are playing a factor in unhealthy air quality in Stockton, officials said. A gray haze was visible Thursday amid blue skies in the small town of Ripon. San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District officials said a lack of wind and rain is also contributing to the thickening air.
