California schools with classroom locks on outside

A school in Rocklin has locks that force teachers to step outside their classroom to lock the door, but this isn’t unique to the school. Hundreds of schools across California have similar locks. Community colleges reviewed their security protocol after a deadly shooting in 2015 and found older buildings needed updated locks. Learn more in the video above.
