Rain, Storms Expected Locally Today

The potential for heavy rain and strong storms returns to this part of central Mississippi today.  The National Weather Service has posted a Level-2 “slight” risk of  severe storms for the local area with damaging wind gusts possible during the afternoon and evening hours.   Rainfall amounts could range from one to three inches with the heaviest accumulations forecast for the northern part of the local area including northern Holmes, Carroll, Montgomery and Chocta
