Light Pole Catches Fire, Causes Woods Fire

KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–An Attala County deputy out on a call observed a fire on a light pole Friday night and called it in about 9:30 p.m.
The fire spread from the pole to the gound and caused a woods fire, according to the deputy.
That was on Hwy. 35 north of Kosciusko in the Carmack area, near a house. The house was not in danger.
The fire was also seen on the power line. Entergy was called to cut the electricity. The fire was put out not long after firefighters arrived. No injuries were repor
