Heat Advisory for Holmes and Carroll Counties Today

As we wrap up the weekend and head into next week, we may be seeing our final episode of above-normal summer weather.   A heat advisory has been posted today for mainly western Mississippi including Holmes and Carroll counties, where afternoon highs will be in the upper 90s with a heat index from 106 to 107.   Durant could reach 100 Monday and Tuesday with the rest of the local area in the upper 90s.
