Heat Advisory Continues for Holmes County

Holmes County will be back under a heat advisory today.  It’ll be in effect from 11 am until 8 pm.  In Durant, the heat index this afternoon is forecast to reach 106 degrees and could be even higher across western Mississippi.  NWS says on Wednesday, heat indices could again reach 106 in Durant, and 105 in Kosciusko, Carthage and Philadelphia.
