Entire Local Area Now Under Heat Warning

An extreme heat warning has been expanded once again, now covering 77 counties in Mississippi including the entire local area.   The National Weather Service says the heat index could approach 115 degrees in some parts of the state through Monday.
NWS says afternoon highs in Durant could reach 100 Monday through Wednesday with upper 90s forecast in Kosciusko, Carthage and Philadelphia.
