Couple Killed When Tree Falls on Vehicle

CARTHAGE, Miss.–Two people were killed Sunday afternoon in Leake County when a tree fell on their vehicle, said Leake Co. Coroner Earl Adams.
Adams said the tree fell onto the front compartment of the vehicle.
He was not ready to release names Sunday afternoon, pending the notification of the next of kin.
The wreck was reported about 1:20 p.m. on Mars Hill Rd. near Edinburg. Deputies were already tending to another wreck on Hwy. 25, and some of them were diverted to Mars Hill Rd., finding
