Man drowns in North Miami Beach canal

A man drowned in a canal in the Greynolds Park area of North Miami Beach Thursday.

A woman told police she saw a man jump into a canal  at 33th Court and Northwest 180th Street. She ran to tell her husband, who didn't think much of it, until he heard screaming.  

The man was under water for about 15 minutes, witnesses said. Paramedics at the scene said the man was dead.
