Jan Mann Opportunity School placed on lockdown after gun found

A Miami Gardens school was placed on lockdown Wednesday after a gun was found on campus.

Miami-Dade schools police said a student was taken into custody after they received a tip that he brought a gun to the Jan Mann Opportunity School.

After officers confronted the boy, he became belligerent and uncooperative, police said.

Once the gun was seized and the student was arrested, he made threats that there were more guns on school property, police said.
