Mass. sees big surge in residents who make over $1M

Bolstered by a strong economy and a hot stock market, Massachusetts saw a significant jump in residents with income of at least $1 million in 2017, according to new Internal Revenue Service data.Massachusetts residents that year filed 18,090 tax returns with adjusted gross income of $1 million or more, a 12 percent increase from 2016.
