Road closure expected following police pursuit turned fatal crash in East Lubbock

Motorists are urged to avoid the East Loop 289 northbound access road from East 50th Street to East 19th Street as a Lubbock Police Accident Investigation Team continue to work the scene from a fatal crash Tuesday morning. Tiffany Pelt, spokeswoman for the Lubbock Police Department, said that portion will be blocked off beginning at 10 a.m. as investigators map out the crash scene.
