2 arrested, woman found hiding in trash can after Lubbock police chase

Two people, including a man arrested in a hit-and-run last month and his girlfriend who police say was hiding in a trash container, were arrested early Friday morning following a police chase through South Lubbock. Officials said 26-year-old Kevin Gregory Knowles is back behind bars following the pursuit that began shortly after 1 a.m., when an officer attempted to pull over Knowles in the 7700 block of University Avenue, according to a Lubbock Police Department news release.
