Long Beach police shoot knife-wielding man in Naples

LONG BEACH >> A knife-wielding man seen cutting his throat by a police officer was hospitalized today following an officer-involved shooting.Long Beach police officers were dispatched around 9:30 p.m. Thursday to a residence in the 100 block of The Colonnade Canal regarding the man, who appeared intoxicated, trying to enter through a front door, said Marlene Arrona, a police department spokeswoman.
