Long Beach Grand Prix organizers win 4-year permit from coastal commission

Organizers of the Grand Prix of Long Beach won't have to hassle with getting a permit from the California Coastal Commission to run the race for another four years, officials announced Friday. The Grand Prix, one of the first events to be issued a coastal permit in 1975, this week won a permit to operate the race through 2020 along the coastline.
