Long Beach gathering input on potential policy that would allow short-term rentals like Airbnb

Long Beach leaders are holding a public event May 2 to gather input on a new policy to regulate short-term rentals through companies such as Airbnb. The city's municipal code currently does not allow short-term rentals, but that hasn't stopped hundreds of listings from popping up on various home-sharing sites.
