Flames shut down 710 Freeway after lawn mower sparks blaze

All southbound lanes of the 710 Freeway were shut down after a lawn mower started a small brush fire Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.The blaze started near Del Amo Boulevard when the mower hit a rock in the brush it was cutting along the side of the freeway, Long Beach Fire Department Spokesman Jake Heflin said.
