Vearl Charlie Cottongim, age 92, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Services will be held 11 a.m. at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, and from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
Mr. Cottongim was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on June 25, 1934, to the late Joseph Stivers Cottongim and Dora Ellen Rodgers Cottong
