Letter: Keep the forests roadless

Dear editor,
There are places in America where the forest still speaks without the sound of engines.
Where rivers begin clean and cold. Where salmon return. Where wolves, bears, elk, birds, and countless other species can move through an unbroken landscape. Where people can walk into the forest and experience something increasingly rare: silence.
These are our roadless forests.
