Harry K. Rogers Jr.
For someone with a common name, Harry Rogers lived an uncommon life.
The Frankfort native, who distinguished himself in athletics, the military and retirement, even made Aug. 31, 2026, exceptional — Rogers had ice cream with his family, went to sleep and died peacefully.
He was 97.
He was born Harry Kavanaugh Rogers Jr. on Nov. 19, 1928, to Lola New Rogers and Harry K. Rogers, Sr. He got the nickname “Chug” from an aunt for reasons unknown. Rogers also adopted “H.K.&rdquo
