Franklin County’s girls golf team finishes second, third in latest tournaments

Franklin County’s girls golf team played in the LaRue County Lady Hawks Classic on Aug. 15 at the LaRue County Golf Course.
The Lady Flyers shot a team score of 307 to finish in second place, being edged out of first place by Taylor County by one stroke.
FCHS was led by Emerson Bowling, who tied for second place with a two-under-par 69. Mary Clayton Rodgers came in with a top-10 finish, tying for seventh place with a 72, and Lyla Hardesty had a solid round with a score of 80.
