Franklin County’s boys golf team edges Sayre in conference play

Franklin County’s boys golf team defeated Sayre 155-157 Monday at Juniper Hill. Sophomore Cason New set a career best with a one-over par 36 to lead Franklin County. He was followed by Noah Casey with a 37, and three Flyers — Myles Williams, Brooks Young and Zach Broughton — at 41.
In the reserves match, freshman Ethan Bird set a new career best with a 43.
The Flyers move to 2-0 on the season in conference play with the win.
