48 years: Nance retires from First United Methodist Church

Most every Sunday across the last 48 years, Roy Nance was on the organ bench for the opening of the traditional worship service at First United Methodist Church, 211 Washington St.
That run ended with the postlude on Aug. 16 and Nance’s retirement.
Reflecting on the day, Nance said he had no regrets, and he didn’t feel sad.
