Woman sentenced to 23 years in prison for 2016 murder

A Jackson County judge sentenced Clarisa Baldwin to 23 years in prison for the 2016 murder of 41-year-old George Hamilton. Baldwin, 37, pleaded guilty in March to second-degree murder but was sentenced on Thursday. According to court records, on Sept. 12 of 2016 police arrived at the scene to find the victim on the sidewalk at the end of a driveway in the 2700 block of E. 35th Street in Kansas City.
