New Street Projects Slated for Downtown

INDIANAPOLIS — Beginning next year, several one-way streets downtown will be converted to two-way traffic, in an effort to slow vehicles and upgrade intersections and traffic signals.Plans include converting streets to 2-way from spring 2027 to spring 2029 on major thoroughfares, including:• Capitol Ave. from 21st to 38th streets• Illinois St. from 21st to 38th streets• Pennsylvania St. from I-65 North to Fall Creek Parkway S.
