Extremely Low-Income Hoosiers Face Housing Shortage

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – A new report by Prosperity Indiana and the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) finds that amid a staggering acceleration in the shortage of affordable housing, Indiana’s rates of affordable housing supply and severe housing cost burden for extremely low-income renter households are now worse than the national average and some of the worst in the Midwest.The report, The Gap: A Shortage of Affordable Homes finds a national shortage of 7.3 million affordable
