Applause!: May 19-25

• Many thanks to the police officers in the East District, who recently helped an older woman who, while unlocking her gate o park her car in her driveway, had her running car stolen. The lady’s purse, house keys, phone, cane and other important items were in the car. The first policeman to respond called a far eastside district officer to go to her good friend’s house for the extra house keys (which she didn’t have after all). The officer and backup officers tried to get
