University funding sees smaller cuts in latest budget projections

These figures aren't final, but they're sure to be at least a slight relief for Texas's public universities. Some of those schools saw severe cuts in an initial Senate plan, which moderated later in the session to between 6 and 10 percent. The House plan was more forgiving.
