Turner wants increased local authority for gun control measures

Mayor Sylvester Turner on Wednesday called for a special session of the Texas Legislature in response to pair of mass shootings this month that killed 30 people, including including 22 in El Paso.
He also said he would ask that cities and counties be given more freedom to implement gun control measures as they see fit.
