Thunderstorms hit Houston and surrounding area, bring hail and strong winds; tornado hits Franklin

A thunderstorm moving at 40 mph began entering Houston's urban core at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday, producing hail and gusty wind in the Harris County area, the National Weather Service said.
