Third Ward nonprofit gets new leadership, state recognition and Kinder grant

The Emancipation Economic Development Council in Third Ward, which has just appointed a new executive director, received "Texas Main Street City" designation from the state historical commission as well as a $500,000 grant from the Kinder Foundation.
