These Houston-area school districts will close to prevent coronavirus spread

Several of the Houston area’s largest school districts announced Thursday afternoon they would close to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.
Among them were Cypress-Fairbanks, Fort Bend, Conroe, Katy, Humble and Spring ISDs. Most said they would be closed through March 20, but that may change as the situation changes. Houston ISD has not yet made an announcement on whether they will cancel classes.
