Texas Monthly names new editor amid controversies

Austin-based Texas Monthly, the award-winning magazine that covers politics and culture in the Lone Star State, has a new face at the helm, at least temporarily. Rich Oppel, who had been brought on last month as the publication's first ombudsman, is now the interim editor-in-chief, effective as of early May.
