Texas bullet train meetings set for stops in Cypress, Waller

After a rough ride through rural Texas, backers of a proposed bullet train to Dallas pull into the Houston area tonight, where they are likely to find a warmer welcome.
Two public hearings are scheduled Monday night so Federal Railroad Administration officials can finalize the environmental report on the project, expected to cost between $15 billion and $18 billion to build.
