Texas A&M grad student tests use of 3D printed tools during Mars simulation in Middle East

A Texas A&M University graduate student's experiment to use 3-D printed tools on Mars was tested last month during a Martian simulation in the Middle East. It envisions a world where fewer spare tools, parts and other life necessities would need to be transported the 33.9 million miles to Mars. Instead, astronauts could just 3-D print these things as needed.
