Southwest Houston to get library to replace branch closed during Harvey

Houston City Council agreed to buy 2.5 acres of land in Westbury, aiming to build a new library to serve the southwestern section of the city, where a 56-year-old local branch was shuttered during Hurricane Harvey and will not reopen.
