Report: HUD walked back plan requiring Houston to pay $14M in housing discrimination case

Federal housing officials reportedly were planning to order Houston to pay as much as $14 million for blocking a proposal to build subsidized housing near the Galleria, but reversed course and ultimately agreed to milder sanctions.
