Report: Friendswood crime drops

Friendswood’s crime rate reached a 20-year low last year, according to the 2019 Friendswood Police Department Annual Crime Report.
The nine-page document, available at www.ci.friendswood.
tx.us/annual-report, provides comparative statistics for crimes, traffic incidents, call volume and response times. Some 7.14 crimes per 1,000 residents were reported in 2019, compared to 9.18 crimes per 1,000 the previous year, according to the report.
