Prosecution expected to rest in Denny's murder trial

Prosecutors are expected to finish presenting their murder case Wednesday in the choking death of a Houston father who was placed in a chokehold outside a Crosby-area restaurant. Terry Thompson, the 42 year-old husband of a former Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy, is on trial for the May 2017 strangulation death of John Hernandez, 24. One of the final prosecution witnesses who testified Wednesday was Dr. William Smock, an emergency medicine specialist who is the physician for the Louisville
