Preparations begin for trial of Leon Jacob in murder-for-hire case

Prosecutors and the defense team for Leon Jacob – the failed Houston doctor accused in an elaborate murder-for-hire plot — are expected to meet Wednesday as preparations move forward to start trial in March.Jacob, 39, is scheduled to begin trial on March 19, just over a year after being arrested on two charges of solicitation of capital murder on March 10, 2017.
