Prairie View A&M inaugurates Ruth Simmons as new president

Ruth Simmons, who served last fall as interim president of Prairie View A&M University, will be inaugurated Friday as the eighth president of the historically black college. Simmons was the first black president of an Ivy League university and came out of retirement to lead Prairie View.
