Plane crashes in Brazoria County

A plane crash occurred on Thursday afternoon in Manvel, according to an official with the Texas Department of Public Safety.The pilot apparently struck a light pole around 1 p.m. on Oilfield Road near FM 1128 , according to Texas DPS Sgt. Stephen Woodard.The pilot sustained injuries and has been transported to the hospital.Manvel,  a small city in Brazoria County, is located about 30 minutes outside of Houston.This is a developing story.
