Parker Solar Probe headed to the sun in two weeks time

Scheduled to launch Aug. 11, the Parker Solar Probe will rocket to the sun's atmosphere, called the corona, to study the sun and how it impacts Earth and the rest of the solar system. Eugene Parker, the probe's namesake, and NASA officials discussed the mission Tuesday at a University of Chicago event.
