Outside group ads jolt Houston congressional runoff battle

Republican Dan Crenshaw is getting some serious air support from his former colleagues in the military. A veterans group advocating for more soldiers in Congress, has spent more $420,000 in television ads, digital ads and campaign mailers just since March 29 to support Crenshaw, a retired Navy SEAL who is locked in a contentious GOP primary runoff on May 22. Almost all of that money came in the last week of April.
