NASA's new energy project boosts power in space; Kilopower under development with partners

An energy project that could make it possible for humans to live off Martian land now is underway at NASA. That project, known as Kilopower, is developing and testing a nuclear power system. The plan is to use local resources on a distant planet to reduce the amount of supplies sent all the way from Earth.
