Movie being made about 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger accident
Another NASA legacy movie is in the works, but this time it focuses on a tragic, dark moment in the space agency's history. The film explores the 1986 Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, when the spacecraft blew up 73 seconds after launch and killed the entire crew. Deadline has reported that the movie -- aptly named "The Challenger" -- follows Christa McAuliffe (set to be played by Michelle Williams), who would have been the first teacher (and civilian) in space.
