More than 5,000 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Texas Friday

The statewide total of confirmed novel coronavirus cases increased by 5,463. There are now 141,111 total cases in Texas. Thirty-six more deaths were confirmed, bringing the state’s total to 2,448.
