Man who ran over ex-girlfriend four times sentenced to 20 years

A Houston man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for running over his ex-girlfriend with a truck four times and nearly severing her body in half, the Harris County District Attorney’s office said Monday.
Rogelio Alberto Guardado, 72, pleaded guilty last week to aggravated assault of a family member causing serious bodily injury just as the case was to go to trial, Harris County prosecutors said.
