Main camera on NASA's Hubble Space Telescope goes down as government shutdown nears 3-week mark
Hubble Space Telescope's main camera stopped working Tuesday after suffering a "hardware problem" -- a setback for the 29-year-old groundbreaking observatory that comes as the federal government shutdown stretches into day 19. The telescope will continue conducting experiments with its other instruments, NASA's Hubble team said in a tweet Tuesday night, but it is unclear when the camera will again be working.
