Lockheed Martin: Here's how the U.S. can put humans on the moon's surface by 2024

Lockheed Martin officials believe they have developed a viable way to put humans on the surface of the moon by 2024, as directed by Vice President Mike Pence.The company outlined its plan during a press briefing Wednesday at the 2019 Space Symposium in Colorado -- a plan that would use Orion, the spacecraft being built to take humans to the moon; the Lunar Orbital-Platform Gateway, a mini-space station NASA plans to build orbiting the moon; and a new lunar lander.
